That matters because the screenshot is not fake, it is just stale. Epic’s own descriptions match the basketball angle almost exactly, including the dunking, the baskets, and the over the top arcade sports setup. 

So the right read here is simple. The basketball mode was real. The “it is here now” framing does not hold up as a new March gaming headline from the sources checked.
